About the CARC
The
Chipola Amateur Radio Club was founded December 14, 1976 with
C. A. "Abe" Adams presiding. We met for the first
time in the Marianna City Hall with the stated purpose of "the advancement
of the many aspects and technology of Amateur Radio". Over the years
the meeting places have changed many times but the purpose of promoting
Amateur Radio has not. Today our regular meeting place is at the Jackson
County Emergency Operations Center. Meetings are on the third Tuesday
of the month at 7 PM with every third meeting being held on the third
Saturday at 9 AM which includes a test session following the meeting.
Meetings are open to all persons interested in Amateur Radio. We hope
to see you at our next meeting. 73.
